IRC  

How to get on IRC:

1) Download mIRC: http://www.mirc.com/

2) Register for Gamesurge: http://www.gamesurge.net/createaccount/
2b) Open mIRC. Go to options and type in your info.

3) Connect by typing: /server irc.gamesurge.net

You can add Gamesurge to your IRC favorites by:
Opening options and under 'Connect' find 'Servers' and hit 'Add'

Description: <Whatever you want here>
IRC Server: irc.gamesurge.net
Port(s): 6667
Group:
Password:

Leave Group and Password blank.

3) Once connected type: /join #lonehamsters
As well as what you got in your email.

Optional/Other info:

You can auto-identify and join the channel with Perform. To do this:

1) Open Options and again under 'Connect' find 'Options' and click 'Perform'
2) Perform commands add:

/authserv identify <UserName> <Password>
/join #lonehamsters

Different lines per command.

Note: I use an older version of mIRC so some of this may be a little off. Should pretty much be the same thing though.
